Can two patients ride together in the same van?

No, we can accommodate one non ambulatory patient at a time. There is room for one additional person to ride along however, as long as the rider is independent and able to take care of themselves.

Understanding Shared Transportation Needs

When it comes to non-emergency medical transportation, accommodating the needs of each patient is our top priority. While our policy limits the number of non-ambulatory patients to one per van for safety and comfort reasons, we understand that many patients may want to travel with a companion. This is why we allow one independent rider to accompany the patient, provided they can manage their own needs without assistance during the journey. This arrangement ensures that the primary patient’s requirements are met while also offering them the comfort of having someone they trust by their side.

Benefits of Traveling with a Companion

Having a companion during transportation can significantly enhance the patient experience. Companions can offer emotional support, help with navigation, and ensure that the patient feels more at ease during the ride. For many patients, especially those who are anxious about medical appointments or procedures, the presence of a familiar face can make all the difference. Additionally, companions can assist with the logistics of the appointment, such as checking in or providing assistance during the visit, making the overall process smoother for everyone involved.

At Managed Medical Transport, Inc., safety is paramount.
